Respite
The Senior Services In-Home Respite program provides trained volunteers to stay with the care receiver while the caregiver takes a much needed and well deserved break. A volunteer support specialist will visit the home to assess whether the In-Home program can meet the family's needs. Volunteers are selected who are likely to be compatible with the care receiver and family. They are then educated about the care receiver's needs and introduced to the family Volunteers generally provide respite breaks of 1-4 hours once a week.
