The Aging Disability Resource Center has partnered with the Racine Community Policing Office located at Regency Mall at the northeastern entrance located between Boston Store and Sears. We host a variety of activities the fourth Wednesday of every month with a focus on Racine County service providers- connecting you to your community.
This Month:
A survey determined that 40 to 45 % of Americans make New Year's Resolutions. Some great resolutions start with improving self. Three great resolutions that work towards a healthier self include: exercise, eating well, and relaxing or reduce stress.
Resolve to: Exercise
Exercise improves mood, combats chronic diseases, helps manage your weight, strengthens your heart and lungs, promotes better sleep, increases brain power, and can be fun!
Resolve to: Eat Well
Resolve to: Relax
Practicing relaxation techniques can improve how you physically respond to stress by:
· Slowing your heart rate
· Lowering blood pressure
· Slowing your breathing rate
· Reducing the need for oxygen
· Increasing blood flow to major muscles
· Reducing muscle tension
